JOHN HARRINGTON
John Harrington is President of Harrington Investments, Inc., as well as Manager of Global Partners, LLC, a social venture capital and loan fund. Mr. Harrington has a BA degree in Political Science/Economics from Sonoma State University and has studied graduate economics at Sacramento State University, University of California Los Angeles, and the University of York, England. He recently received his MA degree in Humanities from Dominican University. His master's thesis was entitled "The Morality of Materialistic Self-Interest: The Corporation and the State". In 2007, John received the Sonoma State University 'Distinguished Alumni' award.
John holds several NASD licenses, including Series 6, 7, 24, 26, and 63. He is the author of Investing With Your Conscience: How to Achieve High Returns Using Socially Responsible Investing (John Wiley & Sons, 1992) and The Challenge to Power: Money, Investing and Democracy (Chelsea Green Publishing, 2005).

SUSAN BOGAR
Susan Bogar, Senior Portfolio Advisor and Investment Committee Member, has been employed by Harrington Investments since 1988. Prior to her tenure with Harrington, she was employed as a financial analyst and office manager at Loomis Industries, Inc., a manufacturer of precision equipment. Ms. Bogar's small business experience includes management positions in the food service industry and the creation, development, and management of several family-owned restaurants in Hawaii.
In addition to a BA degree in economics from Cornell University, Ms. Bogar has credits in financial and investment analysis and computer science from the University of Hawaii and Napa College. She also holds her Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. A resident of the Napa Valley since 1980, Susan has been active in various non-profit organizations and community activities. She is currently a Trustee Emeritus of The Napa Valley Opera House.
FORREST HILL
Forrest Hill joined Harrington Investments in 2007 as an investment advisor for individuals wishing to use Socially Responsible Investment practices as part of their long-term financial plan. He previously worked as a financial advisor for Progressive Asset Management, specializing in creating custom portfolios focused on sustainable investments for individual and institutional investors. Forrest holds his Series 7, 65 and 66 NASD licenses.
Forrest has a PhD in Biological Oceanography from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He spent seven years as research scientist at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and the Institute of Theoretical Dynamics at UC Davis, quantifying the effects of habitat destruction on species diversity. He has published 15 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals on topics ranging from physiology and genetics, to mathematical ecology and marine biology.
Prior to becoming an investment advisor, Forrest spent several years as an environmental consultant on endangered species issues, with a focus on the restoration of Salmon populations in California streams. He has also worked as a science advisor for several government and tribal agencies including the California Department of Fish and Game, the Sonoma County Water Agency, and the Nez Perce Indian tribe. In 2006 he was the Green Party candidate for Secretary of State of California.
MONICA NELSON
Monica Nelson, Client Services Administrator, joined Harrington Invesments, Inc., with an extensive background in customer service and management. In 2000, she returned to school and graduated with honors from Heald College in Santa Rosa. She is a California Notary Public. Residing in Napa, CA her entire life, Ms. Nelson is happy to be working in Napa again.
DALE WANNEN
Dale Wannen joined Harrington Investments in 2007 as a portfolio manager for individuals wishing to use Socially Responsible Investment practices as part of their overall financial plan. He previously worked as a financial advisor for UBS in San Francisco specializing in socially and environmentally conscious investing. Dale holds the Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses.
Dale holds a BA in Economics from Rowan University. Mr. Wannen has over 10 years experience in the banking and financial services sector. While working with UBS, he conducted dozens of seminars on the topic of environmentally conscious money management.
JACK UCCIFERRI
Jack Ucciferri is our Research and Advocacy Director (RAD). Jack joined
Harrington Investments, Inc. while working on a Master of Arts program in global political economy at the University of California- Santa Barbara. Prior to his graduate studies, Mr. Ucciferri was the founder and CEO of Giants Foot Surf, a surf lodge and surf tour provider located in southwestern Nicaragua.
Mr. Ucciferri sits on the Board of Directors for Project Waves of Optimism, a community development NGO that works in Latin American beach communities and is based in Palo Alto, CA. After receiving degrees in Political Science and History from UCSB in 2002, Mr. Ucciferri had the privilege of representing "USA Youth" at the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, South Africa. Two years later, he again represented "USA Youth" at the Global Civil Society in the 21st Century Conference, hosted by the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France. In addition to his international experience, Jack has worked on various local political campaigns in the Santa Barbara area and as a member of the Legislative Affairs team at the Sierra Club's Washington, DC. office.
