On Friday, June 15, 2018, Harrington Investments, Inc. submitted a letter to Jeff Bezos, on behalf of some concerned Amazon (AMZN) shareholders, regarding AMZN’s Facial “Rekognition” technology. The letter calls upon AMZN to halt further development and marketing of their Facial Rekognition until management and the board of directors have conducted appropriate fiduciary oversight of such technology.
