JNJ UPDATE

In April(?) of 2019, Harrington Investments, Inc. announced its decision to divest from Johnson & Johnson after the widely-publicized scandal surrounding asbestos contamination in their baby powder.

Allegations swirled that JNJ’s famous baby powder not only contained talc contaminated with asbestos, but that the company had been aware for numerous years, taking measures were taken to conceal this information.

Earlier this month, it was reported that the US Department of Justice had launched a criminal investigation of the company, and JNJ announced it was fully complying with the investigation.
